Greetings from our President
Hello! The very reason you're reading this means that you're probably either an international or an American who is interested in internationals. Know that HIS International is a place just for you! Every HIS location has the same purpose of being a community where all cultures are welcome and celebrated. Over 25 years ago, my wife and I first had the privilege of hosting internationals in our home. Since that time, our lives have been blessed by the friendship of internationals. It is my hope that you can call HIS your home-away-from-home. Please do feel free to contact any of our staff (see staff page) or me at his@hisinternational.org

Sincerely,
Pete Cannon

Who we are
HIS International, Inc., had its beginnings in Columbia , South Carolina in 1991, and now includes staff members working in Columbia and on campuses in Virginia (Virginia Tech in Blacksburg ) and Charlotte ( University of North Carolina ). Other groups in the United States have modeled their programs after HIS International in Columbia . As the scholars & students participate in HIS activities, many lasting relationships develop. When their educational training is finished and they leave, either to go to other American cities or to return to their home countries, the HIS staff continues to be interested in their well-being. If you have participated in a HIS International, Inc., program anywhere in the United States , let us hear from you by email. Would you like for us to refer you to similar groups in your new location?

HIS, a non-denominational Christian organization whose purpose is to serve international students and their families. Together they become a community--with strong bonds of friendship and concern that continue long after the students leave the campus.
