Question: What is this event all about?

Answer: This is an event sponsored by several churches and ministries. It’s to welcome all International and American friends for a night with fun and fellowship. We’ll have dinner at the Farmer’s Market at 5:00 pm before heading to the State Fair at the fairgrounds.

Question: Can I reserve tickets for this International Night event?

Answer: Acquiring ticket prior to this event is encouraged. However, if you need to reserve tickets, please contact any sponsors and pick up the tickets from the reservation table at the dinner.

Question: What’s the South Carolina State Fair? What do they do or have?

Answer: The State Fair is a big and fun event, one of the TOP 50 Fairs in the United States. Exhibits as well as livestock competitions and entertainment draw both rural and urban crowds. Question: How do I get the Fair’s entry ticket?

Answer: The ticket to this International Night will include a dinner and a free entry ticket to the Fair. Receive the fair ticket at the dinner at the Farmer’s Market.

Question: Are children free?

Answer: Children two years old and under 2 are free. All the others are charged at regular price.

Question: Is transportation provided? Where and when? Whom shall I contact if I miss a ride or get lost?

Answer: Yes, transportation is provided by the sponsors. Several vans will be available from the USC apartments at 5 pm to the Farmer’s Market and from the Farmer’s Market back to the apartments every 30 minutes between 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm. Question: When is the state fair closed? What are the daily schedules of events?

Answer: The fair (fairgrounds gate) closes at 10:00 pm on Wed. Oct. 8. For the Fair’s daily schedule of events, go to http://scstatefair.org/schedule/index.php.

Question: How is the parking? Where can I park, and how much is it?

Answer: Free parking at the Farmer’s Market for internationals. Free parking at the fairgrounds but this is on a “first come, first serve” basis. The fairgrounds parking may fill up quickly, so it’s better to park at the Farmer’s Market.
